Mug #37: The 1000 Mugs Project
This isn't just any ol' mug. It's one of 1,000 in #the1000mugsproject. All made with my two hands.
I've partnered with the charity, Home for Good, who help find foster and adoptive homes for kids. For every mug sold we're giving £1 directly to Home for Good. It's simple really. 1,000 mugs = £1,000. This project is our way of doing our bit. Yes, mugs belong at home, and so do children.
Each mug is hand-stamped and numbered with digits from 1-1,000 (this one is stamped with the number mentioned in the title), signed, and stamped with "OX" (showing that I made it in Oxford, England).
The mugs are various sizes, but they all fall into the following range: the body of each measures between 9-15cm (3.5-6 inches) high x 9-14 cm (3-5 inches) wide.
While we recommend hand washing as the safest method of cleaning, this piece is dishwasher (and microwave) safe.
